The 2016 SXSWedu® Conference & Festival fosters
The 2016 SXSWedu® Conference & Festival fosters innovation in learning by hosting a diverse and energetic community of stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds in education. The four-day event affords registrants open access to engaging sessions, interactive workshops, hands on learning experiences, film screenings, early stage startups and a host of networking opportunities. By providing a platform for collaboration, SXSWedu works to promote creativity and social change.
Program Overview
Each day of SXSWedu is packed with noteworthy presentations from education thought-leaders, selected to inspire, enlighten and inform. These featured voices are broadly aligned to trending topics and tracks at the event. Daytime sessions and workshops, which are largely contributed by the community via PanelPicker, make up the bulk of the conference program at SXSWedu. Session content is presented through a healthy variety of topical tracks and format categories.
The Play Ground : Bluebee Pals were featured by Susan Wells of TechTerra Training
The Playground is an energetic learning space designed to help you discover new innovations and pursuits in maker, STEM, gaming, virtual learning, accessibility, arts and more. There are a number of learning formats designed to fuel learning in this space including displays, talks and hands-on sessions.
Bluebee Pals were one of the many featured items demonstrated by Susan Wells and her team of evaluators on educational technology.The excitement over these huggable plush learning tools attracted large crowds at the show. Bluebee Pals assist educators in main stream and special needs classroom through the application of apps.
Fueled by innovation through discovery, the Playground hosts a number of educational pursuits highlighting maker, STEM, gaming, virtual learning, accessibility, arts integration and more. The Playground provides a destination for attendees to explore, discover, participate and learn with like-minded individuals.
