My son is Isaac, “Ike” and is two years old going on sixty.  We adopted him at birth, always knew he was different, and knew from his heart condition he had a chance at being Autistic.  He is also SPD, OCD, hypotonia, speech delayed and more. Isaac is so much more than a diagnosis….

Isaac began to regress around age 8 months and stopped making eye contact, lost the little milestones he had gained such as clapping, pointing, etc.  He started to shy away or shrug from our touch.  By ten months, he was walking but had stopped using the 8 words he knew well. We elected to pursue an early intervention program.  Within 6 months of therapy, we went from feeling like we were on the outside looking into starting to see glimpses of the boy we knew and loved.  His smile came back, he would make eye contact briefly, and he would occasionally seek out touch.

It has been about 18 months since we started an early intervention of therapy for speech, occupational, physical, and play.  The boy we have is of genius intelligence!  He will be 3 in May. Isaac knows his colors, alphabet, complex shapes (think octagon, dodecagon, etc!), his numbers (he can count to 100 without help; he can count to 1000 with minimal help), and he can do simple math! He has an iPad and will open the locked levels on apps (has a parental block with a math question) just to answer the math, close it out, and open again to answer another math problem.

We gave Isaac my old iPad when he turned two and has been self taught all the above from the iPad.   He can navigate youtube learning videos with the best of them and play games even I do not understand at times.  He is learning to talk and sing! He is simply my amazing child and is meant to be ours and we love every piece of him. We truly believe he will go on to do amazing things for our future. It is our duty to help him find his gifts and talents and guide him to use them. When I say he is like Einstein, I mean both of his physicians say so and bring their med students in to see him. He is destined for great things and what a way to get him started! We are tasked with raising this amazing child and want nothing but the best for him.

Sammy Bear Inspirational Story Contest Winner….

Isaac would do so well with a Bluebee Pal to interact with him and encourage learning.  It would be a godsend as an educational tool and take him to new heights. I hope you will consider him!  I sincerely wish you could meet this little Einstein….Isaac fascinates everyone in his life.  He has amazing family support.  Thank you for your time!

Isaac is loving his Bluebee Pal Sammy now. He always makes sure Sammy is “singing” along with his “learning videos”. He will bring Sammy to me when he wants to hear his ABCs and count. He is especially fascinated with the way the mouth moves….
