The UC Davis MIND Institute (Medical Investigation of Neurodevelopmental Disorders) is a collaborative international research center, committed to the awareness, understanding, prevention, care, and cures of neurodevelopmental disorders.
Started by families of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), the UC Davis MIND Institute today is an internationally respected research institute examining the course, consequences, and causes of, and treatments for, ASD, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), chromosome 22q11.2 deletion syndrome, Down syndrome and fragile X syndrome, among other conditions. The MIND Institute also offers through its clinical program comprehensive evidence-based assessments and treatments for children, adolescents and adults with neurodevelopmental conditions. An associated Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities provides educational resources, training, and supports for individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders of all ages and their families.
The MIND Institute actively seeks participation in its research from people of all ages who are affected by the conditions it studies, including ASD, fragile X, ADHD, 22q11.2 DS and Down syndrome, as well as their typically developing peers. Research can’t happen without the participation of individuals and families affected by neurodevelopmental disorders.
